Workstation Ergonomic Assessments

How much does poor ergonomics cost your business?

Back pain, neck stiffness, tight shoulders and headaches are common complaints from people who work with computers. It’s easy to dismiss these ‘aches & pains’ as a normal part of life but, often, the underlying cause is a poorly designed workstation.

Left unchecked, computer-related discomfort has the potential to become a more serious and costly workplace injury.  Not only is an individual’s physical and mental health at risk, but also their level of engagement, job satisfaction, performance and productivity.

Workstation Ergonomic Assessments aim to prevent this by ensuring that people have the appropriate ergonomic setup for their individual needs, and educating them about healthy work practices.

Benefits:

  • Identify and mitigate ergonomic risk factors in the workplace

  • Prevent computer-related discomfort and injury

  • Teach people how to set up their own computer workstations

  • Inform people about how to avoid the known health risks of computer-based work

  • Save money, with cost-effective, easy to implement solutions

What’s involved?

A Workstation Ergonomic Assessment is a one-on-one consultation with an experienced Occupational Physiotherapist, conducted with an individual in their workspace. This can be done in-person or online, via video call.

The individual’s workstation is assessed and set up as ergonomically as possible, using the equipment already in place. In most cases, any identified ergonomic risk factors can be resolved on the day. Occasionally, further actions or equipment may be recommended.

Options

Active Health Partners offer a range of assessment options to suit the needs of individuals and organisations of all sizes, catering for people working from home or in the office.

To support ongoing learning, we also provide educational workshops on computer workstation ergonomics and injury prevention, available both in-person and online webinar format.
